Seminole State Safety & Security - Active Threat Training

Seminole State College strives to provide employees, students, and visitors with a safe environment in which to work, study, and conduct business. The intent of this learning module is to provide you with information to help you prevent an active shooter situation as well as information as to what to do during an active shooter situation. In this module, you will:1) Read the College’s Campus and Workplace Violence Policy which defines “acts of violence” and “threats of violence.” 2) Review a list of departments and people to contact if you have any questions or concerns in a guide.3) View a video that provides specific suggestions about what to do during an active shooter situation as well as what you can do to help prevent such a situation.4) And, you will review the most current Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) asked of our Safety and Security team. Our best safety mechanism is for each of us to look out for each other. If you “see something say something” by calling the Office and Safety and Security (ext. 2178).
